Well, instead of viewing all the people on the planet as people, let's see them as "sales potential", just like businessmen do. Every person out there is a potential sale of whatever product you have, and all you need to do is get them to make that purchase. This is the classical view, which is pa [ ... ]

Many of you will remember my rave review of Medieval 2: Total War, which scored no less than a 9.5, back in the day. And all Total War fans can rejoice, as Sega and Creative Assembly are once more teaming up to create a title in the Total War series: Empire - Total War . Features: From the press [ ... ]

Mirror's Edge boxshotThe artsy runner-jumper Mirror's Edge has been reviewed by yours truly, and the review can be found here. If you're interested in checking out some discussion of the art of Mirror's Edge, our resident Tofubravado has written an article about that very topic, which can be found here.

In other news: I have acquired myself a copy of Fallout 3, and so far I can't say I'm overly impressed, but things might change over the course of this week. A review can be expected soon-ish.

Also, allow me to point you to the sale of the new Asus EEE, with apparently a stunning 9.5 hours of battery life. Here's to hoping they will release that battery for all of us EEE owners who are not planning on buying a whole new laptop for a new battery.

Left4Dead Deal on Steam E-mail

Left4Dead LogoSome of you might be aware I've always had mixed feelings about Valve's "Left4Dead". Although the game itself has always had great appeal to me (after all, I am always looking for new coop games on the PC), I've had difficulties seeing the justification for the hefty pricetag of 50 USD.

After all, the game is at its very core nothing but a total conversion mod, coded on an engine that is arguably getting outdated. Furthermore, it lacks a single player campaign and has limited content in general. A storyline is virtually nonexistent and so on, so forth -- all we can conclude is that this is not a full game. So why pay full price for it?

And that is exactly why I've held out, even though I've been aching to play it. Because let's face it: it's one of the better games out there, right now. So, I was pleasantly surprised to find Left4Dead at 50% discount on Steam. Only $25 for pulse-pounding, coop zombiekillin'! It's a purchase I can definitely recommend to any shooter fans, especially if you have a setup which allows for some LAN-action.

A small thank you to Telo, who pointed the sale out to me. Happy shootin'!
